Research and experiment with new methods to integrate raw genomic data into predictive models
Conduct exploratory data analysis and data mining to uncover insights from genomic and clinical data
Evaluate and visualize machine learning models for scientific publications and patents
Communicate results and insights to a diverse team of biologists, bioinformaticians, and computer scientists
Maintain and update the libraries and tools used for machine learning model development
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and biotechnology
Contribute to the development of new methods and tools to help the organization stay at the cutting edge of the field
Our requirements:
2 years of experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
Ability to program in Python (R, Scala is a plus)
Familiarity with Python data processing stack: Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, PyTorch, Tensorflow
Outstanding data analysis and visualization skills (Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn, Dash, etc.)
The candidate’s additional advantage would be an experience with big data processing (Spark, pyspark), knowledge of data warehouse systems, Kubernetes, deep learning, Sql, Bash or familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, GCP) or batch processing (e.g. slurm)
Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
